This is such a deep scene. Carmella is in fact depressed because she’s made the difficult choice to live her life with a gangster. But while she does, she’s going to exert her own power. Tony may be the king but she’s the queen as exemplified with her blanket of hearts thrown over her back like some royal cape.
Uhm I’m not sure you get the point. It’s not just Carmella being manipulative. She’s making her choice to stay with tony. Yes she’s actually sad and depressed because she understands what she’s become. On the other hand she knows her leverage and if she’s choosing to stay she’s going to force her hand. Tony may be the king but she is the queen. You can see this represented by the blanket over her shoulder like a royal cape. She’s queen of the golden prison.
Publishers wont pay artists, Spotty wont either.. Mostly, if something is on there, is by the grace of infringement. I believe artists should get paid, but people seem to not want that as much as wanting to hear their faves. I know Im one and havent made anything off YT.. never will.. only by teaching guitar can I earn money.
My second favorite scene from the Sopranos. First would always be the scene where Paulie unloads wisdom in the room: "Word to the wise - Remember Pearl Harbor".
@JK-srsly it isn't what a hard six is, Adama actually explains it. It's when you suddenly stop running and turn backwards, to your six, and hit your adversary who has been chasing you.
This particular clip came from season 1 episode 10 “Hand of God” this was when they were desperately running out of fuel and the only place that had any that could be mined was crawling with Cylons, and this was when after spending all the time doing nothing but running from Cylon attacks they decided to do some attacking themselves because of they didn’t they were as good as dead anyway
thank you for posting this in it's entire context. I realized a few things and almost came to tears, watching this scene. (1) the song is utterly brilliant and haunting. (2) I haven't watched the show since it aired and forgot how astonishing it is. I must go back and view it again. the interplay between Tony and Carm is so deep and touching and you see it here. (3) there are only a few times in my life in which I have said "I must know what that song is!" and this was one of them.
Sopranos episode endings. Untouchable.
Thanks Marc!
Wonderful song , Nils
It just feels like real life. The camera work to make the house feel so big and empty. The lighting to capture the time of day. The acting ...

Listen people, this was the best series on television. This is one clip to show it.
YES❤🩹
im confused, why do i keep hearing people saying this clip is proof this show is the best. am I missing something?
Dont let the music or Tony being sincere fool you here. This is Carm at one of her most manipulative, filthy, trash states throughout the series. Sad.

Ohhh! I just realized that a "hard six" is something COMPLETELY different from what I thought it was. I thought it's like an unlikely die roll
